What are Polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are regenerative aesthetic treatments designed to support skin quality and rejuvenation. They work by supporting the skin’s natural regenerative processes and are commonly used to improve the appearance of concerns such as fine lines, dehydration, loss of elasticity and overall skin quality.

During the course, you will explore the science behind polynucleotides, how different products are formulated and how to select appropriate treatments based on individual client requirements.

Course Content

  • Polynucleotide Science & Product Knowledge – Develop a thorough understanding of polynucleotides, including their composition, mechanism of action, treatment benefits and the differences between commonly used products. Learn about appropriate product selection, preparation, storage and manufacturer-specific protocols.
  • Client Consultation & Skin Assessment – Learn how to conduct a comprehensive consultation and assess the client’s skin, concerns, medical history and suitability for treatment. You will develop the skills required to create individualised treatment plans and establish realistic treatment expectations.
  • Treatment Areas & Protocols – Explore the use of polynucleotides across key treatment areas, including the face, under-eye area, neck and décolletage, depending on the product and manufacturer’s recommended indications. Learn how treatment plans can be adapted to individual skin concerns and treatment goals.
  • Injection Techniques – Develop your practical knowledge of appropriate needle injection techniques for polynucleotide treatments. Training covers treatment mapping, injection patterns, anatomical considerations, product placement and techniques appropriate to the specific product protocol.
  • Treatment Planning & Skin Rejuvenation – Learn how to develop bespoke treatment programmes rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Explore treatment sequencing, combination treatments, treatment intervals and maintenance planning to support long-term skin rejuvenation.
  • Safety, Contraindications & Complications – Gain an in-depth understanding of client suitability, contraindications, consent, infection prevention and safe treatment practice.
